Alma'S Almond Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. vegetable shortening
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    1 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
    5 eggs
    3 1/2 c. plain flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    In a mixing bowl, cream butter, shortening and sugar until very light and fluffy; add flavorings.
    Add eggs, one at a time and beat well.
    Add alternately the flour and baking powder with milk beginning and ending with flour mixture.
    Bake in a greased and floured tube cake pan at 325\u00b0
    for 1 1/2 hours, or in gas oven at 300\u00b0
    for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
    Do not open oven door before 1 hour.
