Mom'S "Goetta" - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 fatty (4 lb.) pork roast
    1 onion
    1 pkg. pickling spice
    salt and pepper
    water
Preparation
    Cook until very done.
    Take out meat; grind.
    Set juice in icebox until all fat settles on top.
    Skim.
    Bring juice to which ground pork has been added to boil.
    Add quick cook oatmeal until thick, approximately 1 small box.
    Put in pans to set.
    Fry sliced pieces in butter until golden brown.
