Italian Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 lb. stew beef
    2 Tbsp. melted shortening
    6 oz. tomato paste
    1/2 tsp. ground allspice
    1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
    1/4 c. parsley, chopped
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 large onion, chopped
    24 oz. tomato sauce
    2/3 c. water
    1/2 tsp. ground thyme
    6 cloves garlic, minced
    6 oz. sliced mushrooms
    cooked spaghetti
Preparation
    Slowly brown meat and onion in shortening.
    Add remaining ingredients, except spaghetti.
    Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Serve over spaghetti.
