Banana Foster - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    4 bananas, cut in half lengthwise
    1/2 c. banana flavored liqueur
    3/4 c. white rum
    1 gal. vanilla ice cream
Preparation
    Melt in skillet or chafing dish butter; add sugar and cinnamon.
    Cook slowly until bubbly (3 to 4 minutes).
    Add bananas to syrup, basting continually.
    Cook until heated.
    In small pan, heat liqueur and rum together.
    Pour rum over the bananas; ignite with long match.
    Baste with syrup until flame dies down.
    Put ice cream into serving dishes; garnish with banana and syrup.
    Serve immediately.
    Serves 8 or more.
