Peanut Brittle Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. peanuts, chopped/ground
    3 c. sugar
    3/4 c. water
    1 c. corn syrup
    3 tsp. baking soda
    2 Tbsp. margarine/butter
Preparation
    Combine sugar, water and syrup in saucepan.
    Cook to 250\u00b0 on candy thermometer.
    Pour in peanuts; stir and cook to 300\u00b0. Remove from heat and add butter immediately.
    Then add baking soda and stir briskly.
    Will foam over if not stirred after mixing soda.
    Pour hot candy onto a smooth well buttered surface.
    Cool slightly, then stretch to your liking.
