Yummy Refrigerator Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. boiling water
1 c. wheat bran
1 3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 3/4 c. buttermilk (I keep the dried buttermilk powder on hand for this)
2 c. bran cereal
3/4 c. raisins (I like to use golden raisins)
Preparation

Pour boiling water over wheat bran and let stand until cool. Cream the sugar and shortening.
Add eggs.
Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with buttermilk.
Beat until smooth. Add cooled bran, bran cereal and raisins.
Put in container and refrigerate.
Batter keeps 4 to 5 weeks.
