Old-Fashioned Lemonade - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. water
    1 c. freshly squeezed lemon juice
    2 Tbsp. syrup with 3/4 c. water
    1/2 c. fresh mint (optional)
Preparation
    Boil sugar and water in a small saucepan for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice. Cool, then pour into jar and refrigerate.
    To serve, stir 2 tablespoons syrup into three-fourths cup water.
    Add ice.
    Makes enough for 20 servings.
