Hot Tamale Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. ground meat
    1/2 c. chopped onions
    1/3 c. chopped garlic
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1 tsp. red pepper
    2 oz. chili powder
    2 cans tomato paste
    2 c. water
    2 c. corn meal
Preparation
    Brown meat with onions and garlic.
    Cook slowly, stirring occasionally.
    Remove excess fat.
    Add salt, pepper and chili powder; stir well.
    Add tomato paste and 2 cups water; continue to simmer.
    In 7 cups boiling, salted water, slowly add the corn meal, stirring constantly with wire whisk.
    Cook until very thick.
    Place meat mixture and meal by layers in a greased casserole dish.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
    Brown on top.
