Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3 tsp. baking soda
6 c. apples, diced
nuts (optional)

Preparation

Cream Crisco and sugar, then add eggs.
Mix in flour, cinnamon and baking soda.
Beat in apples.
Mix well.
Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Pears can be added with apples to total 6 cups.
Tastes best if allowed to age 1 day.
