Cheese And Vegetable Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1 1/2 c. sliced carrots
    1 1/2 c. diced potatoes
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
    5 Tbsp. flour
    2 (10 3/4 oz.) cans condensed chicken broth
    3 c. grated Cheddar (3/4 lb.)
    2 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. milk
Preparation
    In hot butter, cook vegetables, covered, stirring occasionally for 20 minutes or until tender.
    Remove from heat; stir in flour. Mix well.
    Cook 1 minute, stirring occasionally.
    Add broth and bring to a boil.
    Gradually stir in cheese.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring until cheese is melted.
    Gradually add milk. Season with salt and pepper.
