Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced, or 1 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
3 slices bacon, cooked thoroughly, just crisp, then break up
6 Tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. cumin
1 large can red kidney beans
1 can stewed tomatoes
1 (8 oz.) can Hunt's or other tomato sauce
Preparation

Cook bacon in heavy skillet or pan.
Remove and chop.
Saute onion in drippings, then add meat to brown until no longer pink. Add remaining ingredients.
Bring to a boil, stirring, then lower heat.
Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
Adjust seasonings.
Serve over noodles or rice.
