Butterscotch Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 oz. pkg. butterscotch pieces
    2 Tbsp. water
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. light cream
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 c. heavy cream, whipped
Preparation
    Melt butterscotch pieces in top of double boiler over hot (not boiling) water.
    Stir in 2 tablespoons water and remove from heat. Cool to lukewarm.
    Beat until fluffy the cream cheese, salt and light cream.
    Blend in first mixture and vanilla.
    Fold in whipped cream.
    Spread on layers.
