Mock Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 lb. sifted 10 x sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. mace
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 c. milk
3 c. sifted all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
-
Cream shortening gradually add sugar and cream well.
Add 1 egg at a time and beat each in thoroughly before adding the next. This mixture must be beaten thoroughly.
(If once in a while it may separate, never mind.
The cake will be the better for it.)
