Whole Wheat Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. sifted flour
    3 c. whole wheat flour
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 cake household yeast
    3/4 c. lukewarm water
    1 tsp. white sugar
    2 1/2 c. lukewarm water
Preparation
    Place flours
    and
    salt
    in
    a large bowl and mix well. Add yeast, dissolved in 3/4 cup lukewarm water; add sugar, mix well and blend in remaining water.
    Turn out on floured board. Knead until dough
    is
    smooth
    and shiny.
    Brush top and sides with shortening\tand
    place
    in\tgreased bowl.
    Let rise until double in bulk,
    about
    1\thour.
    Punch down;
    knead again and return to bowl.
    Let\trise
    1/2
    hour.
    Shape
    into
    2 loaves. Place in well-greased
    pans and let rise until double in bulk. Bake 40 minutes or until well browned in 375\u00b0 oven.
