Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick oleo
    1/2 c. vegetable shortening
    2 c. sugar
    5 eggs, separated
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 small can flaked coconut
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream oleo and shortening; add sugar and beat until smooth. Add egg yolks; beat well.
    Combine flour and soda; add to creamed mixture with buttermilk.
    Add vanilla, coconut and nuts.
    Beat egg whites stiff and fold into mixture.
    Pour into three greased and floured 8-inch pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Frost with favorite frosting.
    Can use one large pan instead of layers.
