Country Style Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium size cubed steaks
    2 heaping Tbsp. shortening
    enough flour to coat the steaks
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 c. water
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Salt and pepper steaks.
    Coat with flour.
    Fry in hot shortening until medium brown.
    Remove steaks from pan.
    Add 2 heaping tablespoonfuls flour to hot grease. Let it start turning brown.
    Return steaks to this and add water, a little at a time, to cover steaks.
    Turn burner down to simmer or slow boil for 20 minutes.
    If gravy gets too low, add a little extra water carefully though, it may become too thin.
