Asparagus With Water Chestnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. fresh asparagus
    1 (7 oz.) can water chestnuts, sliced
    1 Tbsp. butter
    salt
    m.s.g. (optional)
Preparation
    Wash and trim asparagus, breaking off woody portion near root. Cut asparagus diagonally into 2 to 3-inch pieces.
    Parboil in slightly salted water until nice green color.
    Drain. Saute asparagus and water chestnuts in butter and season to taste. Serves 6 to 8.
