Myra'S Southern Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 1/2 c. sugar
3 sticks butter
3 tsp. vanilla, lemon, or almond (I use one of each)
6 eggs
8 oz. evaporated milk
3 c. cake flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs one at a time and then add flavoring.
Set aside.
In another bowl, sift flour with baking powder.
Alternate adding evaporated milk and flour mixture to the butter mixture.
Mix well.
Pour into a well greased and floured tube pan.
Bake for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
