Hearty Onion Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 Spanish onions, sliced
    1 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 Tbsp. butter
    3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    3 cans beef broth
    6 slices Italian bread
    6 slices Swiss cheese
Preparation
    Cook onions in oil and butter in pot over medium heat, stirring frequently for 30 minutes or until softened and caramelized.
    Stir in flour to coat onions.
    Cook 1 minute.
    Slowly stir in broth. Cover and cook 20 minutes.
    Spoon soup into 6 individual ovenproof bowls.
    Top each with bread and cheese.
    Broil briefly to melt cheese.
    Total cooking time:
    50 minutes.
