Lime Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 pt. sliced cucumbers
    2 c. lime
    2 gal. water
    4 pt. sugar
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 gal. vinegar less 1 c.
    pickling spices
Preparation
    Soak cucumbers in lime water 24 hours.
    Drain; rinse in cold water.
    Let stand in cold water 3 hours.
    Mix vinegar, sugar and salt and pour over cucumbers.
    Let stand until next morning.
    Boil 35 minutes with spices to taste.
    Put in jars and use hot water bath 10 minutes and take out to let seal.
