Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. cornmeal
    1/2 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 c. melted fat or oil
    1/4 c. sugar (optional)
Preparation
    Mix cornmeal, flour, baking powder and salt (and optional sugar).
    Mix together milk and egg and add fat.
    Add milk mixture to cornmeal mixture.
    Stir only enough to mix.
    Fill greased baking pan half full.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for about 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Makes 6 servings.
