Spanish Franks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 frankfurters, cut in small pieces
    1/4 c. shortening or salad oil
    1/2 c. diced green peppers
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 1/3 c. precooked rice
    1 3/4 c. hot water
    2 cans (8 oz. each) tomato sauce
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of hot pepper
Preparation
    Brown franks in large skillet.
    Remove from pan.
    Melt shortening.
    Add green peppers, onion and rice.
    Brown, stirring occasionally, over high heat.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Mix well and bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
