Two Shoo-Fly Pies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 unbaked pie shells
2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
4 Tbsp. shortening
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. regular molasses or King syrup
1 1/2 c. hot water
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. hot water
Preparation

Mix flour, brown sugar and shortening like pie dough for crumbs.
Take out 2 cups of these crumbs for top of pies.
To remainder of crumbs in bowl, add eggs, molasses or syrup and 1 1/2 cups hot water from faucet.
Mix well.
Dissolve baking soda in 1/2 cup hot water from faucet.
Add to other liquid mixture. Divide liquid into two unbaked pie shells.
Put crumbs on top. Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
Turn down oven to 375\u00b0 and bake for about 30 minutes or until top is dry and done.
