No-Cook Mint Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. light corn syrup
    1/4 c. butter, softened
    1 tsp. peppermint extract
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 lb. sifted powdered sugar (4 3/4 c.)
    red and green food coloring
Preparation
    Blend the corn syrup, butter, extract and salt.
    Add sugar; mix with spoon and hands until smooth.
    Divide into thirds.
    Knead 1 drop red food coloring into one third and 1 drop green food coloring into another third.
    Leave remaining third white.
    Shape into small balls.
    Flatten with fork on waxed paper lined baking sheets.
    Let dry several hours.
    Makes 72 patties.
