Black Magic - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 oz. Hydrox or Oreo cookies, crushed fine
    1/2 c. margarine, melted
    1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream, softened
    1 small can evaporated milk
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 c. sugar
    2 semi-sweet chocolate sq.
    whipped cream (optional)
Preparation
    Mix crushed cookies with melted margarine.
    Spread on bottom of greased 9 x 13-inch pan and freeze.
    Soften ice cream and spread on top of frozen cookies.
    Refreeze.
    Mix together evaporated milk, margarine, sugar and chocolate.
    Boil for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Cool.
    Put on top of ice cream. Return to freeze.
    May be served with whipped cream.
