South Of The Border Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. pork sausage or ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (7 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
1 (4 oz.) can green chili peppers, rinsed, seeded and fine chopped
1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. chili powder
6 c. torn lettuce
1 (15 oz.) c. garbanzo beans, drained
1/2 c. sliced ripe olives
1 c. shredded Monterey Jack or Cheddar cheese
1 c. cherry tomatoes, halved
1 green pepper, cut into strips
Preparation

In skillet cook sausage or ground beef, onion and garlic until meat is brown and onion is tender.
Drain fat.
Stir in tomato sauce, undrained tomatoes, chili peppers, flour, and chili powder. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
