Icebox Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 cucumbers, sliced
    4 onions, sliced
    3 c. white vinegar
    3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1/4 tsp. turmeric
    1/3 c. pickling salt
Preparation
    Layer cucumbers and onions.
    Combine remaining ingredients and pour over cucumber layer.
    Store in jars in refrigerator for 1 week before eating.
    Makes 4 1/2 to 5 quarts.
