Cherry Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 lb. shortening
    1 beaten egg
    3/4 c. milk
    2 jars Musselman's pie cherries
    vanilla ice cream
Preparation
    Cut flour, salt, baking powder and sugar into shortening until mixture is like crumbs.
    Add 1 beaten egg and 3/4 cup milk until mixture is moist.
    Spread cherries in bottom of a 9 x 9-inch baking dish.
    Cover with mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes until top is browned.
    Top with vanilla ice cream when serving hot or cold.
