Mexican Lasagna - cooking recipe

1 to 1 1/2 lb. ground beef or turkey
1 envelope taco seasoning
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 c. salsa
1 (16 oz.) cottage cheese
1 egg
1 tsp. oregano
1 pkg. flour tortillas
1 (16 oz.) pkg. shredded cheese
diced tomato
sliced jalapenos
green onion
black olives
Preparation

Brown meat; drain. Add seasoning, sauce and salsa and simmer for 5 to 7 minutes. In 9 x 13-inch pan, spray Pam. Line bottom of pan with single layer of tortillas (you can cut tortillas to evenly line pan). Put 1/2 of meat mixture on tortillas. In a bowl, combine cottage cheese, egg and oregano. Spread entire mixture over layer of meat. Add another layer of tortillas, then add remaining meat. Top with shredded cheese. Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 25 minutes. Before serving, garnish with diced tomato, sliced jalapenos, green onion and black olives.
