German Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 oz. German bittersweet chocolate
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/3 c. flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. milk, scalded
    3 eggs, separated
    3/4 tsp. vanilla
    1 baked 8-inch pie shell
    1/3 c. sugar
    chopped nuts or coconut
Preparation
    Melt chocolate and butter over low heat or in a double boiler. Mix flour, sugar and salt and stir into chocolate mixture. Slowly add milk, stirring constantly.
    Cook until mixture is fully thickened, about 15 minutes.
    Beat egg yolks well; stir in a little of the chocolate mixture, then pour egg into the hot chocolate mixture and cook about 2 minutes longer, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat, cool partially, and stir in vanilla.
    Pour into pie shell.
