Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 chicken, cut into pieces
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. melted butter
    milk (enough to make stiff dough)
    1 onion, chopped
Preparation
    Stew chicken in a large stew pan with seasonings, in enough water to cover until well done.
    Remove chicken.
    Mix flour, baking powder, egg, salt, onion and melted butter.
    Add enough milk to make a stiff dough.
    Thicken chicken broth slightly with flour.
    Bring broth to a boil and drop dumplings by the teaspoonful into the boiling liquid.
    Turn down heat and cook slowly for 5 to 7 minutes.
    Do not cover while cooking.
