Chinese Beef And Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. rice
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 bouillon cube
2 tsp. soy sauce
1 medium onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 1/2 c. diced, cooked beef
Preparation

Cook rice in hot oil over medium heat until golden brown.
Add salt, water, bouillon cube and soy sauce. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Add rest of ingredients. Cover tightly and simmer 10 minutes more.
(May need to add a little more water.)
All water should be absorbed by end of cooking time.
If not, remove cover and allow liquid to evaporate. Yields 2 generous servings.
