Dutch Kitchen Apple Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. applesauce
1/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. flour
1/4 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 (9-inch) pie shells
1/2 c. sour cream
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. powdered sugar
1 to 2 Tbsp. cream or milk
Preparation

In saucepan, mix applesauce, salt, flour, sugar and spices. Stir and cook over moderately low heat, about 15 to 20 minutes or until thickened.
Cool to room temperature.
Spoon filling into shell.
Combine sour cream and vanilla.
Spread over filling.
Roll out pastry and put over pie.
Seal edges and prick top.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
Cool pie for 20 minutes.
Mix powdered sugar and cream to a smooth paste.
Glaze top crust.
Serve warm or cold.
