Mexican Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 jalapeno pepper, diced (optional)
    2 (1 lb.) cans pork and beans
    1/2 c. maple syrup
    3/4 tsp. dry mustard
    2 Tbsp. catsup
    1/4 to 1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/3 c. chopped green pepper (preferably Mexi blee peppers)
    4 pieces bacon strips
    1/2 c. Weavers hot sauce
Preparation
    Combine all the ingredients together, except the bacon strips. Stir well until blended.
    Use 1 1/2-quart casserole dish or a 12 x 8 x 2-inch glass dish.
    Put all ingredients into the casserole and place bacon strips across the top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until hot and bubbly or until desired consistency.
    Hot sauce depends on your own taste.
