Strawberry Chiffon Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 baked (9-inch) pie shell
3 egg yolks
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
3 egg whites
1 c. hulled strawberries, sliced
Preparation

Beat the egg yolks in the top of a double boiler.
Add sugar and cook until thickened.
Add the salt to the egg whites, whip until stiff.
Pour the hot custard over them.
Return the custard to the double boiler.
Beat and cook until it is thickened and stands up well.
Fold in strawberries.
Fill pie shell.
Brown the pie in a hot oven at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
