Pepper Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 doz. green peppers
    1/4 peck green tomatoes
    2 stalks celery
    1/2 doz. cucumbers
    1/4 peck onions
    1 gal. vinegar
    3 c. sugar
    6 Tbsp. mixed spices, tied in a cloth
    salt
Preparation
    Grind vegetables together; add salt.
    Let stand overnight. Drain in the morning.
    Boil vinegar, sugar and spice bag.
    Pour over pepper mixture; bring to a boil.
    Boil 15 minutes.
    Jar and seal (1/2 peck equals 1 quart).
