Monkey Bread - cooking recipe

3 12 oz. pkg. of buttermilk biscuits
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. margarine or butter
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. walnuts (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease one 9x10 inch tube pan. Cut biscuits into quarters. Mix white sugar and cinnamon in plastic bag. Shake 6 06 8 biscuit pieces into the mixture. Arrange pieces in the bottom of the pan. Continue until all biscuits are coated and placed in a pan. If using nuts, arrange them in among the biscuit pieces as you go along. In a sauce pan over medium heat, melt the margarine with the brown sugar and let boil for one minute. Pour over the biscuits. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes and then turn out onto plate. Do not cut. The bread pulls apart.
