Perfect Cornbread(Every Time) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. plain meal
    1/2 c. plain flour
    1 heaping tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. sugar
    1 egg
    milk
    cooking oil
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
    Grease bread pan or muffin pan lightly. Sift meal and flour, then mix all ingredients together, using enough milk for consistency.
    Add about 1 tablespoon cooking oil; mix well.
    Bake until golden brown.
    Yields 12 muffins or 1 hoecake.
