Easy Black Forrest Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Cans Tart Pitted Cherries
    1 Cup Sugar
    1/4 Cup Cornstarch
    1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
    2 Round Chocolate Cake Layers Baked & Cooled
    3 Cups Cold Whipping Cream
    1/3 Cup Confectioners Sugar
Preparation
    Drain cherries reserving 1/2 cup liquid.
    Combine reserved juice, cherries, sugar & cornstarch in saucepan.
    Cook & stir over low heat until thickened.
    Add vanilla & stir.
