Stewed Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. fresh corn, cut off cob
    1/4 stick margarine
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Melt margarine in heavy skillet; let get hot.
    Add corn and stir to coat each grain.
    Then add water, sugar and salt.
    Bring to a boil and cook until just tender.
    Before serving, sprinkle with black pepper.
    This is good with sliced tomatoes and biscuits.
