Ingredients

2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. milk
5 Tbsp. melted shortening
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Beat eggs.
Add sugar; slowly stir in milk and shortening. Sift together flour, salt, baking powder and cinnamon.
Add to egg mixture; stir until blended.
Dough may be chilled until easy to handle.
Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness.
Cut with doughnut cutter.
Fry in deep fat until brown on other side; drain well before removing.
Place on paper towels and roll in sugar.
