1 c. butter or margarine
1/3 c. cocoa (regular type, dry)
2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
2 slightly beaten eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

In saucepan, combine butter, cocoa and 1 cup water; bring to boil.
Stir constantly.
Remove from heat; in large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, soda and salt.
Stir in eggs, buttermilk and vanilla.
Add cocoa mixture.
Mix until blended; pour into greased pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 about 25 minutes in 9 x 13-inch pan.
