Kuchen - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. milk
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 lb. butter
    2 tsp. salt
    5 eggs
    1/2 box raisins
    10 c. flour
    2 pkg. dry yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water
Preparation
    Scald milk.
    Add sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs, yeast, flour and salt.
    Blend well.
    Let rise until double.
    Spoon into 4 greased bread pans.
    Brush with 1 beaten egg white, then add topping.
