Bayou Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground rump
    1 Tbsp. fat
    2 1/2 cooked tomatoes
    1/2 c. uncooked rice
    1 tsp. chili powder
    2 large onions
    1 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Slice onions and brown in fat.
    Add ground rump and brown well.
    Add all other ingredients.
    Cover.
    Cook over slow fire about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
