Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 well beaten eggs
1 c. oil
1 tsp. vanilla
4 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

Cream together butter and sugars.
Beat eggs and salt together.
Then add to sugar mixture.
Add oil and vanilla.
Sift together flour, soda and cream of tartar.
Add to creamed mixture. Refrigerate dough for 1 hour before rolling and cutting.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Yields 7 dozen 2-inch cookies.
