Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cornmeal
    1/2 c. flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg
    3 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Melt 1 tablespoon shortening in 9-inch iron skillet.
    Sprinkle 1 teaspoon cornmeal in skillet.
    Return to oven and brown.
    Mix all ingredients together.
    Immediately pour mixture into hot skillet.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
