Prune Spiced Nut Loaf Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cooked prunes
    1/2 c. butter or shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg, ground
    1/2 tsp. cloves, ground
    2/3 c. cold coffee
    1/2 c. walnuts, chopped (optional)
Preparation
    Cut prunes from the pits into small pieces.
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Stir in well beaten eggs.
    Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and spices; add to creamed mixture, alternately with coffee.
    Blend in prunes and nuts.
    Pour into a greased tube pan.
    Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for 1 hour.
