Lumber Jack Bean Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (No. 300) can butter beans, drained
    1 (1 lb.) can kidney beans, drained
    1 (1 lb.) can pork and beans
    8 slices bacon, fried crisp and diced
    1 c. minced onion
    1/2 c. sweet pepper, minced
    1/3 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
    1/2 c. red wine vinegar
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. garlic salt
Preparation
    Fry
    bacon
    crisp; drain.
    In the usual amount of bacon drippings
    or
    margarine,
    add onion and sweet pepper and cook until
    tender.
    Add
    bacon and cook 5 minutes.
    Stir in sugar, vinegar,
    mustard, garlic salt and salt and simmer 15 minutes. In a large casserole (4 quart), combine the 4 types of beans; toss lightly
    to mix.
    Spoon bacon mixture over top of beans. Bake, uncovered,
    in
    preheated
    oven
    at
    350\u00b0
    for 50 to 60 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbly.
