Linda'S Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 onion, diced
    5 or 6 potatoes, cubed
    1 can chicken broth
    chicken bouillon cubes (optional)
    water (optional)
    1 stick margarine
    milk
    salt and pepper
    shredded carrots (optional)
    grated Velveeta or Cheez Whiz (optional)
Preparation
    Cook diced onion and cubed potatoes in chicken broth just until soft, not mushy.
    You may want to use part chicken broth and part chicken bouillon with water.
    Use at least 1 can of chicken broth.
    Add margarine and milk to desired thickness, salt and pepper.
    Cook until milk thickens.
    Shredded carrots may be added, if desired.
    May add Velveeta or Cheez Whiz, if desired.
