Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. unsweetened applesauce
1 tsp. cinnamon
pinch of salt
2 c. flour
1/2 c. nut meats
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 egg
1 c. raisins

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add applesauce in which the soda has been added.
All other ingredients may now be added.
Bake in moderate oven, 350\u00b0, for about 40 minutes.
